A Mexican Vacation: Jacuzzis Suck!
The First of a Four Part Series of Near Disasters
I took a vacation. With my girlfriend, her daughter, and daughter’s significant other. A short five day Mexican vacation. Days 1 and 5 were travel days, and 2–4 were for relaxing and exploring. Just the sea, the sun, the fun, and the flavors of Mexico. I had no direct biological-parental skin in the game. I was just the boyfriend. No worries or cares for 5 glorious days.
The four of us had taken a trip together back in December for five days to Cuba, where very few people spoke English. But we had an interpreter and guide who, as the American government required, had every minute of each day planned out so that we were just along for the ride. She was fabulous. As long as we stayed together, which we did, everything would go swimmingly. Apart from three of us getting a wee bit sick, it was a terrific trip. I highly recommend it.
The Cuba trip and this Mexico trip had both started out as an exclusive mother/daughter holiday and then expanded to include the two additional traveling companions.
